Hiyo undertook the full maintenance and renovation project of ZTZ30000/25/50 high-resistance end hydraulic supports used underground at Tashan Coal Mine.
This type of end support features a support height ranging from 2500mm to 5000mm and a rated working resistance of 30000kN, undertaking critical roof support work at the working face end. Subjected to long-term rock burst impact and coal wall extrusion loads, the equipment suffered multiple failures including structural cracks, hydraulic system leakage, and delayed response of electro-hydraulic control, which severely restricted safe production and mining efficiency of the fully mechanized mining face.

After project initiation, Hiyo set up a dedicated technical team to conduct on-site underground surveys on equipment wear, and disassembled and inspected core components such as columns, top beams, shield beams and hydraulic valve groups. Laser cladding repair, structural reinforcement, complete replacement of oil circuits and optimization of electric control programs were carried out to address wear, deformation and seal failure. All procedures complied with national safety maintenance standards for coal mining equipment, and the whole machine passed factory tests including pressure resistance, pressure holding and linkage operation.
After delivery, the support achieved full compliance in roof stability, sealing performance and control sensitivity. It effectively reduced underground equipment downtime and extended service life, cutting comprehensive operation and maintenance costs for the client. The project fully demonstrates Hiyo’s mature and reliable comprehensive technical strength in remanufacturing, overhaul and renovation of high-end mining hydraulic supports.

Full Series Hydraulic Support Overhaul Project for Inner Mongolia Yitai Baoshan Coal

Release Date: May 28, 2020

Project Category: Overhaul of Coal Mining Machinery & Underground Roadway Support Equipment

Client: Inner Mongolia Yitai Baoshan Coal Co., Ltd.

Long-term underground heavy load, surrounding rock extrusion and dust corrosion caused frequent failures of multiple batches of supports in the mine, including structural deformation, weld cracks, piston rod scratch of columns, leakage of hydraulic valve groups and aging seal failure. The bearing capacity of supports dropped sharply, raising risks of roadway roof control and disrupting continuous underground mining operations. Hiyo undertook this batch overhaul order and set up a dedicated mining machinery repair team to formulate standardized overhaul plans for different models.
During project implementation, all supports went through high-pressure cleaning, complete disassembly and non-destructive flaw detection. Deformed parts such as top beams, shield beams and bases were corrected and welded; columns and cylinders were repaired by honing and laser cladding. All seals, hydraulic pipelines and main control valve groups were fully replaced. In strict accordance with coal mine equipment maintenance standards, every unit passed factory tests of pressure resistance, pressure holding, linkage operation, initial support force and working resistance, with complete test files kept for traceable quality control.
After delivery and put into service, all supports restored original factory standards in support strength, motion response and sealing stability. Equipment downtime caused by malfunctions was greatly reduced, effectively extending the service life of underground support equipment and cutting clients’ costs on equipment purchase and maintenance. This project fully demonstrates Hiyo’s technical strengths in mass delivery and precision remanufacturing for large-batch overhaul of mining hydraulic supports.

Batch Overhaul & Refurbishment of ZF Series Fully Mechanized Caving Supports for Tashan Coal Mine

Release Date: May 28, 2020

Project Category: Maintenance & Renovation of Fully Mechanized Mining Equipment

Client: Datang Tashan Coal Mine of Datong Coal Mine Group

Project Scale: Overhaul and renovation of 97 complete caving hydraulic supports, including 32 sets ZF13000/25/38 caving hydraulic supports and 65 sets ZF15000/28/52 large mining height caving hydraulic supports.

This batch of ZF series caving supports has long operated in fully mechanized caving faces of thick coal seams. Subjected to long-term roof impact loads, coal-rock friction and underground humid dust corrosion, they suffered frequent failures such as cracked welds on top beams, deformed four-linkage structures, scratched piston rods of columns, internal leakage of hydraulic valve groups and jamming of tail beam coal caving mechanisms. The support resistance and coal caving efficiency were reduced, severely hindering safe and continuous mining of working faces. Hiyo undertook this batch renovation order and set up a dedicated technical team to formulate differentiated maintenance plans based on distinct parameters and working conditions of the two support models.
During project execution, all supports underwent high-pressure descaling, complete disassembly and non-destructive flaw detection. Deformed structural parts were corrected and reinforced; wear-resistant layers of columns and jacks were repaired by laser cladding. All sealing components, hydraulic pipelines and electro-hydraulic control valve groups were fully replaced, and hydraulic circuits of tail beam coal caving were optimized to improve operation smoothness. All procedures complied with national standards for coal mine equipment maintenance. Every unit passed factory tests including pressure resistance, pressure holding, linkage movement, initial support force and rated working resistance, with complete test files retained for full traceable quality control.
After delivery and underground commissioning, all supports recovered original factory design indicators in support strength, sealing performance and coal caving sensitivity. Equipment downtime caused by malfunctions was greatly reduced, effectively extending service life and cutting clients’ costs on new equipment procurement and daily maintenance. The project fully demonstrates Hiyo’s mature technology and mass delivery capacity in batch overhaul and precision remanufacturing of large mining caving hydraulic supports.
